Floating world: ‘ukiyo-e’ Japanese prints exhibition held between June 2022 and October 2023 at Gulbenkian, gathered a remarkable collection of wood prints focused on the concept of ukiyo. The city of Edo, female beauty, supernatural beings, mythical creatures, contemplation of the natural world, all featured on beautiful rich colored masterpieces, populate this small catalogue print edition.
Tasked with creating the layout for the exhibition catalogue, we were also commissioned to design the identity for the exhibition. The catalogue was developed from concept stage up to print production with a close attention to press colour matching overview.
